Today, we are going to be reviewing Twice’s comeback with I can’t stop me, and talk about my thoughts, why it’s familiar, why it’s not familiar and honestly everything in between. Jokes will be made, but I will make sure to clearly point them out.
Ok, so this music video starts out with this beautiful scene and it features this seemingly floating platform with a beautiful platform that reflects the stars and this flower in the middle. It then opens up and twice is inside. Now I don’t know if you remember my last review, but I expressed how I wish we could have explored this fake type of island they were on in more and more and I think we got to do that here. And so, we shall venture into why it’s familiar. To me this is like a continuation of more and more, you know that song gave us a glimpse into this world, and now we get to dive even more further into it. I mean we see this cliff, these colorful types of mountains that they are dancing on. We just get to see a universe that doesn’t exist but that they created. And then it ends with their train almost going off a cliff, so maybe we’ll get a more and more part 3 within this universe.

The reason why the M/V is messy is because the girls are trying to portray a story, one wrong symbolism means a different thing. All scenes from ICSM isnt random like other kpop M/Vs, all slides and details tells a tale.

This music video had some amazing moments too, aside from the bad that are so extremely complained about lol. Set your expectations a tiny bit lower y’all, they just started working with a new production company to my knowledge and the mv in general is very entertaining and magical to watch, considering Twice and their image.

Unpopular opinion: I think that this MV is really messy and not in a good way. It’s all over the place with different aesthetics and colour schemes and I really didn’t enjoy the backgrounds except the colorful mountain one.

ok so: -train station scene looks like aiiyl -dinner scene looks like that ateez mv (can't remember the name lmao) -scene where they're running with the fancy dresses looks like clc's helicopter -scene were they're dancing between those mountain-like things looks like rv's bad boy do i care about any of that? lmao not at all and if i see someone crying plagiarism i'm gonna glock them istg, that's everything y'all kpoppies talk about. it could have been better tho, i think the mv was a combination of messy and empty, same with the song. the chorus teaser got me sooooo hyped, i replayed it so much and the ending result kinda disappointed me. the album overall was ok tho (didn't like all the songs but the ones i did like are chef kiss), and it's an improvement over more & more, but guess i'm just gonna wait for their next cb. so far they haven't topped fancy and feel special.

I really like twice's songs but their production company should stop using green screen smh.. Even though i still think I can't stop me MV is easier to watch than more and more, the pre-chorus and the rap looks so messy in more & more MV. With all the effects it made the MV less elegant

I’m sorry I actually don’t really like the song and I forced myself to listen to it 5 times and no progress. It sounds very monotonous to me like eg there wasn’t a very exciting chorus etc. I couldn’t tell which was the chorus on first listen. Like with other songs, u can clearly hear and distinguish the chorus prechorus and stuff like that but it’s just the same vibe and sound throughout. A lot of people also bash on Nayeon and Jihyo but like they have to work extra hard on stage because they got more vocal parts AND they have to dance as well so it’s a lot of harder work for them, I don’t see why y’all need to bash on them. I can’t stop me is just not my cup of tea. I’ve seen a lot of people say they really like it but this has to be my least fav twice song, sorry.

Im not a fan of the people saying that Twice is copying ATEEZ and other artists. As an Atiny and a Once, I understand that they have very similar concepts in the MV. But when everyone got pressed because it was “copying” ATEEZ due to the table scene makes me really sick. Also, everyone saying La Di Da did it better, lemme jsut say it’s a very similar concept. You may absolutely have your opinion, and I respect it because it’s a great song. But please don’t discredit a group because they do a similar concept as another. I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but I have a quick little theory about the title of the album, "Eyes Wide Open". In the Bible, Adam and Eve eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. When they eat it, their eyes are opened to things like evil and temptation (I'm sorry if this is worded weird. I'm a Catholic but I'm kind of rambling right now. I don't really know what I'm saying 😂) I think it just means that their eyes have been opened and now they are feeling more temptation that before. I'm sorry if this makes no sense 😂 Edit: I have a theory about the shoulder move too: they are going back and forth with themselves, battling themselves about whether or not they should do what they know is wrong.

For 4:16, the flowers remind me of wattle brushes. As an Aussie these are very familiar and are commonly yellow and red. But even if you search up pictures of it, they don’t look exactly the same, but it was just a point I thought of. Pretty sure it adds no point to the MV
