I think Dumdi Dumdi used the drum beat pattern used for TWICE's Feel Special Pre-chorus. Yeah, I have keen ears in music terms.

I have more than one things to say, First, I don't think that I'm the trend is really a comeback because it is just like a song made for fun and even the mv was pretty raw, just they having fun. It could be counted as a celebration of their achievements or a memorial piece of their work. Second, people who says that *soyeon* or even *g idle* copied the chorus from Blackpink's as if it's your last, I don't really think so. It's just the similar beat. Infact I could say this that blackpink copied g i-dle. Like not for dumdi dumdi but lion. In soyeon's poster for lion, where there were the claws around her face like a frame, we see that in how you like that when Jennie sings prechorus. No hate, I am a blink too. But the fact that dumdi dumdi being similar is hella popular but no one even talked about How you like that gets on my nerves. I don't blame the idols. Sometimes when u here a tune, u subconsciously remember it while doing something. Soyeon definitely didn't copy on purpose, we all know our queen. Third, idols can change their concepts. Not only g idle but any idol or group doing a new concept will help in bringing out a side where they shine more. Like shuhua and miyeon suit in with uh oh concept (hip hop). Soyeon and soojin looks more fierce in dark/black concepts. Minnie and yuqi suit a happy/summer concept more because of their rather cute features. Last, if you don't like any idol or group, it's okay. You *don't* have to like everyone one. But don't go around spreading hate. That's *not* okay. Understand that idols in kpop train for more than 3 yrs. They have a horrible diet. Most of the managers are too strict. Their life is hard and tiring. And after doing so much for y'all, people just pit on hate saying that the idols are ugly or can't dance. If you actually reached here, I appreciate your patience 😂😂😂✌️

There is no similarities in itzy not shy ..... you will think it’s kinda similar when you see the hand gesture dance before they have the punch dance but if you see it more it’s really no similarity. They are punching hand gestures and like hitting the drum. Itzy hand gesture is saying no or not because it’s a not shy song.

Gidle's Dumdi Dumdi also familiar for me from Spica's Tonight MV. The chorus at Miyeon's (2nd part of the chorus after Soojin) part and when the chorus drops in Spica's Tonight MV. The flow and the melody is similar.

i prefer when my kpop groups change their concept and style of music because i think it definitely shows their duality and keeps not only us as fans but the idols entertained....like with blackpink for example....it feels like they have the same comeback every time because they don’t really work with anything else....i think changing things up once in a while is good for everyone.

I don't know why but whenever it recommended her videos to me (gidle ones) I get kind of nervous she make me little angry ☺☺

When the song starts I immediately thought of BP's As if its your last. But of course 3 seconds after she sings it already sounded different. And chorus definitely has the same vibe as Ninano 👀

Anyways, Lion's underrated af. Go stream it

I mean, at this rate, I'm pretty sure Neverlands are well aware that (G)I-DLE is not the kind of group to stick to one concept. Most importantly, Soyeon is not the kinda leader and producer who likes to do the same thing again and again. Knowing they write and produce their own songs (there are co-producers too), you can bet on them trying different concepts and the already established fanbase knows that (G)I-DLE's CB means SURPRISE. 😁 They would probably think of changing concepts as a risk given "DUMDiDUMDi" failed as a CB which didn't happen. It's charting very well which will serve the purpose to catch the attention of the Korean GP and the already sold 95K copies show how successful their CB is with this new concept! 🔥 There will obviously be fans who won't like every concept but the majority of the fans are ready to accept it & (G)I-DLE knows it to experiment more. I mean this is what led them here at this very top! 😎

I really like DUMDI DUMDI. It was amazing and because the main vocalist Miyeon got 2nd place in lines in great. They all shined and even Shuhua with the least amount of lines. I really like Yuqi and Soojin's lines and Soyeon's rap. The dance is so amazing and I love them so much. I'm a big NEVERLAND (fan of G-idle).

I loved that it felt like they were coming back to their distinct sound they had kinda before lion and omg I was getting tired of the super dark concepts from them after uH oh

THAT EXPLAINS WHY NINANO HAS BEEN STUCK IN MY HEAD FOR LIKE THE PAST WEEK I genuinely did really like DUMDi DUMDi in itself, but I can really see what you mean about how much they sound alike :O Also two things: 1) I will say I think Twice's Dance The Night Away could definitely qualify as a summer song! and 2) idk if someone else has already said this or not, but the G in (G)I-DLE is actually silent :) Granted I don't stan them or anything, but I remember seeing them on ASC soon after they debuted and one of the members was explaining their name and they specifically mentioned about the silent G. I will say though I see it VERY commonly getting mispronounced, so you're definitely not alone! But I figured it'd be best to give a heads up about it just in case ^.^

For me the chorus sounds alike with the chorus of Come Alive from The Greatest Showman like for real XD The first few seconds I listened to it, I instantly knew how the chorus flowed and joined in with just gibberish.

I think after a lot of people said OMG was like LION they decided to risk. But for me, they risked too much. I don't like summer vibes, and I felt the song didn't have a clear rhythm, also, for me the beginning sounded like Dance Again from JLO. Of course all of this is my opinion.

i think that dumdi dumdi was quite different because of it's more lively and faster tempo vibes that makes it more different from their other songs which is chilly and slower tempo
