Reason why pandas are in zoos is because they were in declining numbers in the wild which is caused by both hunting, loss of habitat and a very difficult copulation stage by nature of pandas, and even if they do have babies the mother only chooses to look after one baby instead of them all which leaves the rest hungry and soon die. So zoos comes into play by tricking the mother into thinking she is looking after the same baby by zookeepers going in, while she's not looking, and swapping out the baby with another so they all get the mother's nurturing in rotation. This whole process is very costly and time consuming. So it is hugely misguided to think they will do better in the wild than in a zoo

My opinion in all of these : *1. Blackpink & panda situation* This might sound pretty controversial, but coming off from an animal lover, who basically has had sooo many pets, went to zoos and actually study about animals including endangered species, yes holding a panda especially a baby can be harmful to them. But also, they have professionals with them, and the zoo itself invited blackpink into the zoo & allow them to play with pandas. The girls also had gears and stuff too. So i feel like ppl are just too dramatic and overreacting. And the funny thing is that most of them are antis who dont even know anything about pandas. So i feel like we should just rest the case. If anything happened to the pandas, honestly thats the zoo’s fault. The pinks did nothing wrong. Plus not everyone knows how to handle a panda or something. Stop hating on them! *2. NCT & sasaengs* I’ve seen pics of the sasaengs, and it does look like they vented (no pun intended totally 👀). And what they did is just wrong. Istg sm needs to do something about this!
