the song is a total bop, Lady Gaga made a song that could fit her and BLACKPINK’s style, also Rosé’s and Gaga’s vocals really refreshed the song and the production is amazing. you said their voices are different yet i think Jisoo has a very deep tone, which makes it to sound elegant and smooth, just like Gaga’s voice.

I really liked the song! It was the best song of Lady Gaga's new album I think. And I definitely prefer it over Rain on me (I love Gaga and Ariana but the song wasn't it for me, I just couldn't like it)

People hate on the song because it doesn’t sound like BLACKPINK. This is very stupid because it is a Gaga song. It’s supposed to fit with the concept/sound of her album, which is electro pop, dance pop, synth pop, and house music. This song also gave rise to new blinks. A lot of Little Monsters (Gaga fans) really liked to song and started to stan bp

BLACKPINK and Lady Gaga are talented in their own ways, but I just don't think them together would be that great, don't get me wrong, BLACKPINK and Lady Gaga sounded good in Sour Candy but its just that they just didn't match together at all.

It's a disappointing song with some amazing parts........I had high expectations

I'm a little monster and a casual listener of bp (I quit kpop after 2ne1 disbandment lol) and I honestly couldn't care less about bp x lg collab since this is Gaga's music comeback in 4 YEARS and also her pop comeback in 7 YEARS so this is definitely a big deal for little monsters like me. Western musicians don't work like kpop idols where they come back every year or so, so every comeback is like a long-awaited return. The entire album is fucking amazing and a continuous dance party but I have to admit that despite being an album with no skips, Sour Candy was at the bottom of my best song list- I'd say it's about in the bottom 3. It sounds like a fanmade mashup of 2 songs and a bit dry for my taste. Tho what pissed me off about Blinks is how they claim that its the best song in the album without even listening to the entire album! Just because your faves are in it doesn't automatically make it the "best". In fact, in an album where the featured artists were Ariana Grande and Elton John, BP's collab song with Gaga pales in comparison with how good Rain on Me and Sine from Above was. There are even some claiming that Chromatica was successful due to BP's involvement when its a fucking Lady Gaga album. She doesn't need BP's clout to make her successful- she has her grammies, oscars and golden globes for that. Anyways guys, even if you're not a fan of Gaga just try listening to Chromatica. Listen from the start to end and don't bother shuffling it since the songs are connected. The transitions from one song to another were a religious experience (ie: Chromatica II - 911) and I recommend you guys to give it a shot- it's truly a masterpiece of an album.

I loved this song... It has a really unique vibe to it and I listen to it almost every day. But I understand that some might have a hard time liking it!

Tbh. The song is just a generic sounding like the song isn't bad but I just was a bit let down by the song . But I don't hate it at all.

For me the song itself felt really flat boring and just generic. I can also see why ppl are saying it sounds more like mashup of two songs. I'm not quite sure either if their voices and music styles just sound good together. I see this issue in many collaborations between artists from different genres of cultures. It often turns out to be two styles attached to each other side by side and not really blending in that much. In the end it feels off and more like two different songs. It is also short but ppl who listened to the whole album said that this song actually functions more as an interlude and feels less off as it is sort of transition song. So maybe it has its place in the album but as a stand-alone song it is kinda disappointing to me as I didn't find anything interesting in it tbh.

No song can beat "Awesome screen, awesome camera, Long lasting battery life". This will probably the SOTY ㅋㅋㅋ

If I’m honest the only parts I actually liked were Gaga’s, her talking in the track was awesome. Blackpink were decent in the song but if they weren’t in the track I don’t think I’d miss them. Just my opinion.

I love your way of describing the song. Honestly I agree with you soo much.😋 For me the song was stretched. Instead of adding a second verse, they just stretched Gaga's lines and added rose's voice in the mix. They could have made the second verse with just Gaga and that would have been better. Other then that, I love it.

I think the song is a nice chill song with a 'house' music sound. I like it but I don't think it deserved the hype it got. It was too short and sounds a bit generic and underwhelming considering that it was a collab of the most famous kpop girl group rn and a pop icon who are both known for their strong image. Tho it is nice to hear them sing in another style. Also I don't think lady gaga's voice fits the concept that much. Ik it's her song but I prefer the song without her. The problem is that blinks listened to it as a BP song. It's is not! It's a Gaga song, it's her album, it's her vision and it's very on brand for her. As a little monster and a blink, it was satisfying to see this collab. However, I think it's missing a Lisa rap. The MV isn't filmed yet but it will be filmed once the miss Rona dismisses herself.

I thought Sour Candy was pretty bad, it felt messy and almost fan made. Gaga sang at a higher volume and quality than the BP members. Also none of the BP members used their unique vocal types instead they were all trying to mimic a single style which was never blackpinks thing. Idk, I really enjoyed the Dua Lipa collab tho it's pretty repetitive but Gaga and BP didn't blend well imo. Idk I have it 5 listens and I really wanted to like the song but it just wasn't my thing. Hopefully their actual comeback fairs better. That's my take on it

I had higher expectations for the song. It fell short tbh... Literally. Lol I love BP and really enjoy Gaga, but the song was lackluster for me. I wanna support it but it is definitely missing some key elements that would make it a banger for sure. Vocals were on point tho

The song needed to be more melodic. That snare-drum track doesn't work with Gaga or BP. The dramatic upswell of Lady GaGa's pre-chorus part was so gorgeous, outright heavenly, and then the rest of the song is there and it just sort of sounds like the producers couldn't be bothered adding more musical layers to the song. It sounded uncharacteristically bland and empty for their styles. Which is a real shame as the vocals themselves were fantastic. The lack of an MV makes the problems even more glaring.

I have to say... when you listen to k-pop a lot and you get used to the formula of K-pop songs, you might find Sour Candy underwhelming because there's no peak or climax like songs in K-pop. And the song is necessary and cohesive with the album. Lady Gaga said to not shuffle the album, listen in order and for a reason, Sour Candy is much more chill, calm and clean with a different vibe compared to the other songs with strong beats and more loud concepts.

I actually like the contrast of blackpink and Gaga but i hope they made one of the pinks do a more crazier vocal because all four of them just did the soft voice. Like they could've made Lisa to do the adlibs and maybe some rap talk, i wished they gave Jisoo longer lines not just to give her more lines but because her lower register sultry voice sounds so good, Rosé slayed her part and Jennie's opening was so good
