Coming after black swan’s debut, I think the company is doing better, both the Senegalese and Brazilian- Japanese member get like those solo ‘beauty shots’ in the mv, and everyone is included in the choreo, although the Senegalese member is kinda in the back and the side, never center, but it’s a step up

Besides, like Lisa's case shows, many of these celebrities assaulted, are assaulted by people who haven't done their homework. It reminds me of the time Kylie Jenner was assaulted for using the word 'Eskimo' , when it's an umbrella term and not an insult. The Inuits aren't the only Indegenous circumpolar people, and the ones from Alaksa are actually called the Yupiks. I think it’s super weird that they added a black girl again. I personally have no problem that there is a black idol as long as they debut under the same circumstances other idols do. My problem is that they obviously added the girl for attention. The company probably noticed how much attention rania got after having Alex as a member and after she left the group they wanted to replace her with another black girl. I doubt it’s a coincidence that the only two black Kpop idols debuted in the same group. They obviously wanted to make an Alex 2.0. I honestly just wish the best for her and that she won’t get any hate by netizens or get mistreated by the company the way Alex did.

As a girl with Senegalese ancestry, I'm quite proud of that news. But at the same time, considering the bad treatment that Alex went through and the difference of treatment among the members, I'm really worried for the girl. The company is obviously profiting off of her skin color, and the high probability that she is left behind beyond the stage is really pissing me off. I'm also waiting for the korean public reaction, since she's not only black but also african, and there is a lot of stories out there from Africans living in Korea that are not that great. But hey let's give it a chance, and see what will happen. At the end of the day, this is just speculation and let's just hope everything will go well for them🤷🏽‍♀️

Even if it was a Durag, I personally wouldn’t be offended because I feel like there are many more important things in black culture that should not be taken or used by non black ppl for aesthetic purposes than a durag. Its the same for me with dreads and braids. As long as they are done right, I am fine with idols wearing braids. But most of the time, the braids or dreads come out ugly and sloppy and then I am digusted. An example of this would be blackpinks Lisa in the ‘kill this love’ music video. Her braids looked awful and I was offended but just because they were ugly and bad. However, even though I am a black person, I have no right to tell anyone of any culture when or when not to be offended!!🙌🏾

I rlly am skeptical about non-Asians in kpop. Every time a company tries to do it, it’s so apparent that they’re doing it for clout. For ex, alex didn’t even properly TRAIN, which is why she had to leave the stage. She didn’t know etiquette or even fluent Korean. It’s so obvious the company was using her for attention. I think non-Asians could maybe be in kpop if they at least grew up in Korea, know the culture, and go through the training like everyone else.

About the bp background window. Ahhahaha. So here we are arguing about window. It just a window. And at first glance, I don't ever realize it is a mosque window or whatsoever until angelina told. But it is indeed a common windows that we will found at a usually big mosque. If you guys ever realize, a big mosque usually have a very beautiful design architecture. Me as muslim not offended by this as the background not portrayed as a mosque overall. It is a window that you could find in the mosque,church, and palaces. I have seen some kpop idol worse mosque background. So, blackpink stage background is still okey. Acceptable. Not a problem.

I am a Muslim. Not all mosques all over the world have the same designs. I live in two muslim countries where this particular design is used a lot with the same column placing. I’m actually a blink. I don’t hate nor blame the girls at all because I know they don’t know about this. I also know that this design is used in other places.
