YG recently announced that BLACKPINK will release their comeback slowly over the span of a few months, and quite frankly, I'm quite suspicious about it. South korea has never been in a lockdown. Actually you can search photos and most restaurants and lots of places are working normally. They just ask for face mask. Yesterday actually people went back to school normally. SK is the place who had this disease pretty much in control. And when those Idols went it was just as Goverment lifted restrictions.

I don’t understand why people are still defending their idols while they clearly were not following the rule. Quarantine or not they must have stayed in as the virus is still spreading. The vaccine has not been found yet. They must have been more careful in these types of situation where stepping out is fatal, not just to them but also others.

As far as the ‘97 line scandal’ goes in my opinion all though South Korea is easing its restrictions and the bar was “legally open” doesn’t mean the idols should of necessarily gone out.

Personally I feel like the issue with the idols going out during this pandemic is problematic, for many reasons. The main one being, at the end of the day they’re called idols for a reason. I mean all have them have participated in campaigns petitioning citizens to stay at home. So, it’s clearly very hypocritical that they decide to go the clubs when they’ve told everyone else something different. Also, the fact that delusional fans tried to defend their idols, in Jungkook’s case they said he was at Jin’s parents place when obviously he wasn’t. Also let’s face the fact, if they were girl group members the heat they would’ve received would’ve been INSANE.

i think yg is doing this because they'll debut new groups and blackpink will go on a long hiatus. it would be better if they'd wait a little more until blackpink can handle on their own (make their own music, enough content), like twice and bts. yg knows how to make groups, but still doesn't know how to handle them.

Regarding bp 😁 Remember when yg said they're gonna release 8 music video as a debut project for bp in 2016 but we got only 4 mvs 💀 Later they said they'll comeback on January 2017 with an album but it turned it was only mv which was pushed to July 💀 This year they said they'll release an album early January but now it's due in December.

I still don't understand why 97line going to restaurant was a big deal tbh? Why was it a news tho? They went to eat a week before any cases was found in itaewon. Which means there was 0 cases on April 25. I personally like the their strategy yg actually mentioned once that they prefer not to have one album with 10+ songs as the side songs don’t get appreciated as much that’s why bigbang used a similar strategy. This may be an excuse but personally it makes sense as we all know how yg artists and producers put so much work into each song

HI LOVE THE VIDEO AS ALWAYS have been watching them almost religiously while home ✨😌 just adding a thought re: the bar oopsie (just bc I feel like people are confused why Koreans are so annoyed!) - the Korean govt issued a statement a while ago requiring anyone who was in Itaewon during a particular window (which I believe included the date they were there !!) to come forward and get tested because of the Itaewon covid cluster. I think Koreans are mad not because they broadly don’t want idols going out at all, but because it was a specific hotspot that got later identified but it doesn’t seem they came forward? Based on the facts we have now anyway! Plus it seems Eunwoo (who is actually getting the most backlash of the group in Korea) not only didn’t come forward / get tested but apparently then participated in a bunch of broadcasts despite the govt announcement, meaning anyone at those broadcasts now also has to consider themselves a potential carrier. Like yes agreed going out clubbing during iso in the first place is maybe tone deaf, but based on what I’ve been reading in korean articles i don’t think that’s the main reason people are upset!

i just feel YG have their own strategy for intern selling , maybe for kpop fans its tiring to wait or its not normal just to have one cb on one year, but i just feel its YG strategy, so maybe i'll wait if my feelin is right, just experience with world musician who rarely cb but when they released album its always masterpiece, and bp song is always amazing for me , and their next cb will more bigger than before👍👏 and for 97line case its important to read the agencies official released, than read from other media specially kpop media, i mean lately many media just want to sold their article but avoid the important things, its about money not fact anymore, and congrats for SK which slowly back to normal and will open/started the school soon👏i think their country handle this issue more better than my place😭 i hope this viruse will gone soon too, i miss back to work and meet my family

regarding the itaewon issue: i dont think anyone is mad at them for doing something “wrong” because it’s true they didn’t break any laws. for a lot of people, including me, what was disappointing was the lack of social distancing that the guys practiced while preaching on social media about the virus and supporting health care workers (+ eunwoo and jaehyun having activities during the 2-week period). at the end of the day what their actions are more important than regular people’s because they are influential celebrities with large followings. it definitely was a lapse of moral judgement and the guys SHOULD be held accountable but they apologized so everyone should just move on

Sorry to say, your breakdown of the Itaewon case is actually poor. I feel like since it's quite a heavy and serious issue to discuss you should've put more research into this if you want to talk about it. They didnt even went to clubs. All of the companies statement and jaehyun even mentioned in his handwritten apology that they went out to a restaurant/bar not a club. It was careless to have gone out when social distancing is advised but Korea is not under lockdown. People are living their lives normally. Almost everything is open until the second wave which happened a week after they went out. The backlash the boys are getting is totally overblown. Like seriously leave them alone. Dispatch was totally shady to release a report that happened about a month ago. Big fat chance that they were covering up nth room case news that wad exposed on the same day. South Korea never had a lockdown, they are strict about social distancing and mass testing, they are able to produce hundreds of thousands of testing kits.

i have been a blink since 2017 and i really don’t want to unstan but this whole situation with the no comeback thing really is starting to make me feel uninterested and frustrated. Blinks celebrating the bare minimum makes me even more furious. I saw many blinks on stan twitter who were like « thank you yg omg!!!! ». This is why blackpink won’t ever get treated better. At this point it might as well be one of their last comebacks before they disband. Blinks still put up with everything. They still buy merch and old albums and give yg their money. I’m sorry but we should boycott anything that yg tried to sell regarding blackpink that is not a new song or album (like when he wanted us to buy his ugly posters/dolls or whatever). We have a proof that what kblinks did with the trucks worked. We need to keep this attitude for blackpink’s sake. Stop taking the shit yg gives us as a gift. as a jk stan i really felt that jk and the others were being irresponsible. yes, korea wasn’t in lockdown but they have thousands of cases confirmed as well. it doesn’t matter if prior to that someone got infected or not, it’s still not safe to go to a bar during this pandemic. they were supposed to be social distancing. the bar is crowded with people. IF any one of those 4 got the virus, it doesn’t just worry their family, the company, their group members and fans but they’re also putting everyone else in danger. but then those fuckass who are selling, burning merch and telling the members to leave their group is too much wtf

For me seeing Mingyu, Jaehyun, Eunwoo, and Jungkook going to Itaewon to me is funny but it was a dumb decision for them to make especially in a pandemic but also can we blame them. I mean the government is basically allowing the streets of Korea to be open. I’m glad they tested negative for the virus cause Jaehyun and Mingyu probably would have been the most “in danger” since they live with the most people and this especially bad for Jaehyun and Eunwoo because one has a huge fan base beyond making music and the other was in the middle of a comeback so yeah terrible decision from all parties so please nobody try to make it so that Jungkook or Jaehyun looks like an angel in this situation cause they’re your faves

I'm not biting the BP comeback UNTIL we have the video & album. Even if they pull up video teasers. I'm not believing YG anything until we get the MV(s) & album. We had a few cases in KPOP where an MV is supposed to be release & for whatever reason we never get it. I can think of 2 examples on the top of my head. ZE:A's Level Up & Suran's DDANG(땡땡땡) ft Hwasa. I feel like people in the west are misunderstanding it?? Like Korean fans aren’t upset with the 97 line for going to the restaurant/bar, that’s entirely not the case, everyone knows idols go there, it’s not even surprising. What they’re upset about, is after the outbreak, when they’re government clearly stated that everyone who went between a time period should quarantine themselves for 14 days, they never did. And since other citizens had to stay at home for 14 days, it doesn’t seem fair that they as idols don’t need to.

I feel like yg is only saying this bc of the protests from blinks. They did this before back in 2019, saying that after ktl would be released, the other members solos would be too. 2020 and still no solos, so I think this is just a way to appease the fans. Is the Jungkook and co. incident connected to the LGBT clubs in Itaewon that were the source of the outbreak? If so, I would unfortunately expect there to be more gossip around that but either way, I'm REALLY hoping it's not because if it is, for better or worse, I'm not okay with news outlets outing a group of idols. im not gonna believe yg until the teaser drop cause 1.they have done this "3 step comeback" with big bang n 2ne1, it supposed to came out on the same year with the "pre-release" but at the end the album cameout 1 year after.. 2.yg said blackpink gonna have 8 mv in2016 but we get only 4 3.AIIYL supposed to be "present" for blink before their album came out, but it turn out we get only 1 cb 4.yg said they gonna give the other 3 member a solo n second comeback after KTL all in 2019 but no solo n no comeback 5.they said blackpink 2nd will be release in nov 2019 after giving BG a comeback but no 2nd comeback n they said "yg in alot of problem n cant give the pink cb" n when blink asking why BG get the cb, "cause one of the member will go for military n this gonna be their last comeback together until the member out from military" 6. they said blackpink gonna have a comeback in march-april 2020 but got delayed cause of corona virus n they respond "they r done recording but corona virus make their plan ruin" n instead of giving blackpink cb, their BG getting another comeback on the date where a lot of blink predict gonna be BP cb date n the use the same excuse, "the member will go to military n blablabla......" 7.they said blackpink gonna have comeback with an album on june but suddenly they said they gonna do a 3 step comeback, n they even said "blackpink just settle up recording 10+ song" but bitch, u said they done recording on march note: im not hating on the BG cause it not their fault but it YGe fault

No hate to BP but like YG is playing all BLINKS. Like he has been doing this since 2017. They waited exactly a year until he gave blinks any new music content cuz he knows its gonna be hyped up if he continues to prolong everything. Now he is giving blinks a 3 step comeback which does not make sense considering they had a WHOLE YEAR. Yg should be prepared for an actual comeback by now. Like it's not fair how these idols have to wait a whole year to give their fans some content. I feel like they are using a 3 step comeback as an excuse and becuz they wants to test if people are gonna hype them even more. The company needs to like get their act together 🤦‍♀️. Like honestly the next thing they're gonna so is say like the full album was postponed so they are just gonna give y'all another mini album while people continue to stream the single theybput out this year, this trick is honestly overplayed and it's getting annoying. PS this is NOT the girls fault it's YG so pls don't start🙃
